One Bala Plaza

APEX is working with Tishman Speyer and their Landscape Architect Andropogon Associates, Ltd. to develop site plans for the proposed building entrance lobby addition for One Bala Plaza.  Bala Plaza is a four-building office complex located in Bala Cynwyd, which is situated in a significant suburban submarket positioned just outside of Philadelphia’s central business district.  Built between 1967 and 1982 Bala Plaza provides over 1,000,000 square feet of total rentable space.  The addition is being added to One Bala Plaza to create a sense of arrival to the buildng with a grand 4-story lobby.

Matisse Partners Car Wash

A new carwash constructed at 7930 Roosevelt Boulevard and 7885 Oxford Avenue in Philadelphia was one of the latest projects of Matisse Partners. APEX assisted in the design and development of site plans for the construction of this project. The design of a carwash site can come with many unique challenges, such as optimizing the flow of traffic through the business while maintaining industry standards for grading, lane widths, and more.

Audi West Chester

AUDI West Chester is part of the MMCO Auto. Dealerships and offers car buyers a modern dealership that is in tune with their customers service needs. The facility offers a 48,000-sf showroom which provides them with the right place to buy and service their cars. We worked closely with local architect Gardner/Fox in developing a unique multi-level building that allowed for a 50% reduction in the required builidng footprint utilizing the grade difference on the site to allow for the service bays to be placed under the showroom. The site was located in two municipalities and required extensive coordination between them to gain project approvals.

Applebrook Meadows

Applebrook Meadows features 136 luxury carriage homes built by Toll Brothers with neighborhood amenties that include a clubhouse, fitness center, a pool and walking trails.  The development of this 42-acre site included the preservation of 18-acres of sensitive open space.  The project was part of a Unified Development Plan that included Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital and and other Open Space lands adjacent to the Willowbrook Preserve.

    Maybrook

    Maybrook is a new 250-unit luxury apartment community situated in Wynnewood that fuses classic architecture, spectacular gardens and green space with top of the line amenities and convenience. Development of this 44-acres site features the preservation of the Maybrook Mansion which was built in 1881 in traditional “Main Line Gothic” style along with its gardens and over 20-acres of open space.

    Approval of this project required both Conditional Use and Land Development /Subdivision approvals. The project includes a 464-space parking garage, outdoor pool, paddle ball courts, dog park, community garden and an extesive walking path through the property. Preservation of the mansion and assoicated open space required the implementation of a parking garage which is wraped by the new apartment building to make it possible.

      Great Valley Crossing

      Great Valley Crossing features 42 new luxury single-family homes with modern open layouts to be built by Toll Brothers in the Great Valley School District. The development of this 41.5-acre site includes the preservation of 21-acres of sensitive open space and the rehabilitation of the existing historic residence. The project is located within an exceptional value watershed and has been designed to maintain a significant riparian buffer around the stream.
